These literacy center activities are taken from the Student Center Activities for Grades 2-3 from the Florida Center for Reading Research. The activity ideas and task cards from from the FCRR site. For each activity that I'm using in my classroom, I have re-written the directions in "kid-friendly" language and created a cover to put on an envelope to hold each activity.

The FCRR Student Center Activities for Grades 2-3 website has many, many more fantastic activities for whole group and small group instruction. There are also activities for Fluency, Phonics, and Phonemic Awareness. The activities on this page are only the ones that I chose to use as independent center activities with my students.
