Writing Center
At this center, students strengthen their reading skills by practicing their writing skills. Students can complete a narrative or expository writing task, or write sentences using the vocabulary words from the week's basal reading story.
Students may also choose to practice writing words or letters in cursive.
Materials
- Writing folder activities from Take It to Your Seat Writing Centers, Grades 3-4
from Evan Moor.
Cursive alphabet example sheet- List of vocabulary words from the basal text
- Writing paper or lined handwriting paper
